Peillo

In our family we call this room « lo peillo d’Adèle » because great-aunt Adèle Bovard lived here with her husband Gabriel Darbelley and she left the house to grandfather Angelo.
Once “lo peillo” ( from the French “poêle” ) was the most important room of the house, the only heated place where all the daily activities took place.
The wood panels and the wardrobe date back to 1905. The “peillo” preserves all the past’s charm and reminds us of the life of yore.
